Getting the best from your photography
Your special day has a lot going on and couples differ in what they require to be captured. Planning the coverage is helpful to a successful outcome. In this way the photographer knows what’s happening, when and can be there discretely capturing the vital moments. We’d like to talk things through with you personally but here’s some guidlines to help you plan the coverage.
Start at least 1 hour before the ceremony to get the Groom, best man and guests.
The ceremony itself takes 30-40 minutes.
The average family groups take us 45 minutes.
So thats a minimum of 3 hours
To capture the drinks reception and speeches/cake cutting is usually 3 hours more making 6 hours total.
If you want to cover the ‘Bride getting ready’ allow 1-2 hours before the guest arriving shots
In our opinion its is best to allow 6-8 hours for full coverage (we do not charge more than 8 hours on a day we just keep shooting until we capture the full story)
We hope this helps you plan your requirement if all your questions are not answered then call us, we offer a ‘photography planning service’ as part of our Wedding consultation. This is best conducted at the chosen venue. We have found our ‘walk through’ session has been helpful to many couples in their preparation.
A ‘Pre Wedding’ shoot help you become familiar with the camera, posing etc.
